Experience Frankfurt's real traffic — for six hours!

Each year 53.5 million passengers are carried at Frankfurt's airport, and 2.1 million tons of freight are dealt with. To be able to cope with that number of passengers and freight each day 1,391 flight operations are necessary — an average of 55.5 departures and arrivals per hour, up to 80 in peak times. During Frankfurt RealOps 2009 you can witness real air traffic as it is presently handled at Frankfurt. During our six-hours-event you can choose out of more than 400 flights. Each hour there will be 67 take-offs and landings. If „normal" flight simulation is not enough for your and if you furthermore like to use real flight plans and real employed aircraft, you're absolutely right here. Franfurt's ATC-Team is awaiting you with more than 20 controllers. More than half of them meets in our virtual ACC near Hanau, especially for the purpose of this event. All pilots participating in this event are kindly requested to study all hints and procedures that can be found on our event page. Since we expect a great amount of pilots, it is mandatory to be familiar with the these procedures and to follow controller's instructions at any time. So please read all information carefully and get the latest charts for Frankfurt (EDDF). Hence the Frankfurt RealOps 2009 is a RealOperations event our aim is to utilize real traffic, following the currently valid flight plan of Frankfurt. Please support us by booking a flight when you intend to fly from or to Frankfurt during the event time.
